The Order goes into effect at 5 p.m. on March 16, 2020
Governor Hogan ordered the shutdown of all bars, restaurants, movie theaters and gyms in Maryland, effective at 5 pm today, March 16, 2020, to slow the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
Several Fell’s Point businesses had already closed their doors on Sunday night, March 15, 2020 to protect the community and to take the responsibility of social distancing seriously. They plan to remain closed until public health officials express confidence that it is safe to resume operations.
Fell’s Point is home to over 50+ small businesses. Some retail businesses are remaining open to help serve the public during this stressful time. They are adjusting their services and schedules to meet the demands of the public while making safety and health a priority for customers and staff. Please check the website of these Fell’s Point retail businesses to get the latest information on closings and call ahead.
Small businesses are the backbone of our economy. How can you help? Most businesses have websites where you can purchase merchandise, gift certificates and services. Don’t want to come out of the house…many businesses offer online shopping and more.
Let’s all support our business owners, servers, bartenders, store clerks and all the wonderful people who make Fell’s Point successful year-round.
